Playtop Cages
Play top cages are bird cages with play gyms attached to the top, as their name implies. Play tops allow parrots additional space to move around, explore and enjoy their cages. At the least, a play top cage would include a perch bolted to the top of the cage. Most play top cages have additional food and water bowls that attach to or near the perch, and certain styles include a toy hook from which to hang fun items to play with.

Tips for choosing a playtop cage:
We recommend play tops that are securely attached to the cage, rather than cages that open at the top and are held open with a removable perch.
Most playtop cages have a removable poop tray underneath the gym. Removing the tray when the bird is inside will allow for more light to enter the cage.
