Whether or not you put your birds in the same cage really depends on your birds and if they can get along in the same cage. Some birds are fine hanging out together but really need their own space. Keep in mind that when you put two birds in a cage, that cage really needs to be much bigger. For African Greys, you’d at least want a double cage, which may not save you that much room. Also, you want to be aware that putting two birds in the same cage can encourage nesting behavior and may cause the birds to bond with each other more than with you.

Colleen – You can make your own manzanita stand. I don’t have a definitive guide on what woods are safe for birds, but you can google that info and then compare the lists. If there’s any doubt, don’t use it. And be careful about plants that may have been treated with pesticides.
